 한쪽 팔의 기타리스트 마르크 플레일[Marc Palyle]은

선천적으로 짧은 왼팔을 갖고 태어났다.

마르크는 최근 750여명의 기타리스트들이 참가한 세계대회

 '2008 기타 아이돌'[Guitar Idol 2008 ]에서 12명만이 뽑힌 결선에 진출했다.

최종 우승을 차지하지는 못했지만

인터넷 동영상을 통해 네티즌들 사이에 인기스타로 떠오르고 있다.

One-armed guitar hero

 

 

 A one-armed musician made it to the final

of the International Guitar Idol competition in London.

Marc Playle, 22, who was born without his lower left arm,

beat 750 two-handed rivals from all over the world to reach the final, reports The Sun.

Salesman Marc reached the last 12 of the contest

to find the world’s best up-and-coming player.

He began playing at 14 and strums using an artificial limb

with a guitar pick fixed at the end.

He lost to a Brazilian in the final, but said:

 “The judges seemed impressed - one said I was in his top two acts.”

Marc now plans to release an album with his Durham-based band Minnikin.
